Heerhugowaard - Wethouder Leo Dickhoff heeft met collega-wethouder Anjo van de Ven van Alkmaar besloten om samen een onderzoek te laten doen naar de condities, waaronder de Waerdse Tempel eventueel kan worden voortgezet. Beide gemeenten willen niet zeggen of zij geld in de Tempel willen steken. Wethouder Dickhoff had van de Heerhugowaardse gemeenteraad de opdracht om vóór 1 juli zijn onderzoek rond te hebben. Dat gaat echter niet lukken

Entro novembre - ha chiarito il sindaco Alessandro Andreatta - verra' predisposto uno studio di fattibilita' per capirne di piu' sulla sua collocazione nel Cimitero monumentale e verificarne costi e spesa. Lo scopo e' di inserirne le voci finanziarie nel bilancio di previsione 2012.

A man has hit out at a proposed crematorium development in Buchan - claiming that human ash would be in danger of contaminating his private water supply if the plans go ahead. In a letter to the local authority, Russell Gall claimed that the crematorium development earmarked for West Knock Farm, near Stuartfield, will contaminate his water supply at Yokieshill, Mintlaw.

Privatsation plans for Wirral’s parks could be re-thought under the incoming Labour administration. New council leader Steve Foulkes insisted throughout last year that an in-house bid from council workers should be allowed. However, this was dismissed by the previous administration and the contract is currently out to tender. Cllr Foulkes said his administration would be examining the bids closely to see whether they provide value for money.

Grieving families had to hold cremations miles from their hometown because of a backlog at a council-run site. A broken burner at Wrexham Crematorium meant 17 services were diverted to Shrewsbury. The crematorium in Pentrebychan was already facing a backlog of services as essential upgrades are being carried out. Wrexham County Borough Council chiefs insisted they were working as hard as they could to accommodate cremations and hoped they would be back on schedule in July with all upgrades completed by autumn.

LIVERPOOL Council will consider taking legal action over the approval of a crematorium on Greendale Rd. At Monday night’s council meeting, councillors voted to seek legal advice about overturning the recent Joint Regional Planning Panel (JRPP) decision in the Land and Environment Court. If success is likely, they want to start legal action on behalf of Greendale Rd residents immediately. Panel member and councillor Tony Hadchiti voted against the development application and raised concerns about the process.

Das Rathaus von Faro wird demnächst eine öffentliche Ausschreibung für den Bau und die Konzession eines Krematoriums durchführen, welches das erste in der Algarve sein wird. Doch zuerst muss das Vorhaben im Juni die Zustimmung des Stadtrats erhalten. Das Krematorium soll auf dem neuen Friedhof gebaut werden und nicht nur eine Marktlücke füllen, sondern auch eine Lösung für den Platzmangel vieler Friedhö­fe der Region darstellen.
