PLANS to expand Weston’s crematorium have provoked an angry reaction from nearby residents, who say that using their road for construction traffic will present a variety of dangers. Dignity Funerals has applied to build a new cemetery and memorial gardens next to the current site on Ebdon Road, Worle as well as a 75-space car park.

Last month Alyn and Deeside MP Mark Tami made a call for Flintshire Council to consider building a crematorium in Flintshire. Now Connah’s Quay Town Council has unanimously decided to back Mr Tami in his calls.
