The Islington Crematorium is a beautiful 1930’s Art Deco building set within the tranquil grounds of the Islington and St Pancras Cemetery. The Crematorium complex features a chapel, a public waiting area with a drinks machine and toilets, and a memorial
room where the Books of Remembrance are displayed. Floral areas are located to the side of the Crematorium for the display of flowers following the funeral. All facilities are fully accessible and comply with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. The whole complex is maintained to provide an air of calm and peace for those attending a funeral. The crematorium is a 30 minute walk from the main entrance in the High Road.

The crematorium chapel opened in 1937. Its Art Deco detailing and its distinctive glass dome gives it an attractive airy and warm ambiance. The chapel seats 74 on chairs with 30 standing. We have a state of the art music system with acoustically balanced loudspeakers which ensures excellent sound reproduction. This is complimented by a Content D4700 organ and an organist can be arranged on request to play it. The chapel is available for funeral services of all faiths and beliefs so there are no fixed religious
symbols. The chapel is equipped with systems to assist the hard of hearing.
