EINDHOVEN - UItvaartverzekeraar DELA uit Eindhoven neemt per 1 maart de aandelen van Crematoriagroep Best over. Hiermee breidt de coöperatie uit met zes crematoria en drie plaatsen waar nog crematoria worden gebouwd.

A BEREAVED family has backed plans to install webcams in Worcester’s crematorium. When 34-year-old IT consultant Paul Fletcher of Droitwich lost his battle with cancer at the beginning of December friends and family from as far away as America and Australia wanted to attend his funeral but were unable to get there.

IT was 18 months ago when an ‘interested party’ revealed it wanted to buy the council-owned Bretby Crematorium and from then on the authority was ‘duty bound’ to find other bidders thus securing,what it said was the best value for residents. Councillor Richard Grosvenor and chief executive Andy O’Brien stick by the claim and have now revealed that Midland Co-op, as the preferred bidder, wants to buy the Geary Lane site for £8 million, to be the company’s first crematorium.

BERGEN OP ZOOM - In april starten de werkzaamheden voor de uitbreiding van de aula van crematorium Zoomstede. De huidige ruimte biedt plaats aan 140 mensen, maar straks kunnen ruim 400 personen een uitvaart zittend bijwonen. Het bestuur van het crematorium kiest voor het concept respectvol bouwen, zodat er overdag geen geluidsoverlast is en de diensten gewoon doorgang kunnen vinden.
